Cappadocia Area Tourism Investors Association (KAPYAD) held a meeting with Mr. Mehmet Nuri ERSOY, Minister of Culture and Tourism, who continues his duty in the new cabinet formed after the elections.
During the meeting where KAPYAD Chairman Omer TOSUN and Board Members were present, besides general evaluations about the tourism season, discussions were held about the renewal of the Cappadocia Airport terminal building, Göreme Open Air Museum project works, rehabilitation of Paşabağları Ruins, Cappadocia Digital and Archaeology museum works, resumption of Sobesos excavations, Cappadocia upper scale plan works and some other important issues that are of great importance for the Cappadocia region.
KAPYAD President Omer TOSUN made evaluations after the meeting; “Cappadocia is a unique tourism destination not only in our country but also in the world. With the valuable support of our Minister and the Presidency of Cappadocia Area, our primary goal is to quickly eliminate the existing deficiencies of our region, to further strengthen our Cappadocia brand in the national and international arena and to increase its competitiveness.”
